A tasty home opener against one of our bitter divisional rivals?
Open up against the Champions, Red Wings or other Western teams?
Or someone else?

I bet homeopener will be a atlantic team but to start the season, it'll be a west team.

Probably Penguins or Rangers would be my vote, or maybe a cupcake like last year at home (Isles). I guess it depends if we start on a West Coast trip like last year or start at home.

I would love to start the season off against Washington just to see what that moron who writes for the Post has to say now.
My guess will be if it's not a trip out west for the Flyers, it will be against the Penguins.

I want to open up the season with a victory against the Red Wings but I'm not sure if I want it at home or on the road. If it's at home, the fans will all get to enjoy it. We haven't beaten them on the road in 20 years, though. Either way, can you imagine the tone that would set for the season?

Either way, i'm drooling at the thought of a healthy Gagne, Coburn and Timo...I predict the Flyers to be one of the top 5 teams in the league for power play if everything stays intact.

Apparently, rumour has it that the Leafs are opening up against the Red Wings. Wouldn't mind seeing us hammering them at the Wach

Just noticing the Big E in your signature, I was a huge fan..Doubt you care but here's a funny story.
I was at the game in Ottawa where Lindros crippled Andreas Dackell with that mega hit, so the guy is still flat on the ice after 5 minutes, i'm sitting smack dab in the middle of the Ottawa cheering section and i yell out "I hope the guy is dead, it would make the hit that much better".
Needless to say that started a brawl, here's the clip as a reminder

I don't care where they start the season, just as long as I get to watch them in Raleigh on my birthday like I did back in 2005... club level seats, personal waitress to get me my beer and food without having to get up, and the best angle to the play in the building... doesn't get much better than that
