That's too bad. I have vague memories of Miro. That was a long time ago.

He probably shaved 20 years off his life by chain smoking.

RIP.

Wait until you're my age (40). 56 is definitely too young.

i remember reading some trivia piece where dvorak was referred to as "chain-smoking, beer drinking", and my brother said he heard dvorak was smoking in the locker room once, and keenan plucked his cigarette from his lips, threw it to the floor and stepped on it. then dvorak opened up his coat, revealing an entire carton, and lit up another one. keenan just laughed, rolled his eyes and walked away.

"Cookie" was a great guy who did not let his limited comand of the English language stand in the way of communicating w/ people. Got his autograph one night after a game & wound up standing w/ his wife while he continued to sign for others. It was a cold & windy night & his wife said to me "Izz cold & woooffff [flipping her hair to immitate the wind]". At that moment Cookie came over to rejon his wife looked at me deadpan & said motioning to his wife "She crazy - baaad English!" smiled brightly & walked off into the darkness. I hadn't thought about that exchange in a LONG time, but hearing of his passing brought a tear to my eye & a smile to my face at the same time. RIP Cookie.
