I have been here for a little bit but I guess I should "officially' introduce myself. lol

My name's Kate, I'm 22 and from Hamilton Square, NJ (near trenton). My boyfriend is from Philly and we have lots of friends and family around that area but unfortunately a lot of people from around here like the Devils.

I recently decided to go back to school. I'm going for Radiography starting next year.

I have two cats, Lucy and Ethel, and two dogs, Eagen and Ella.

I'm in the process of fixing up my house and looking for a new job but other than that my life isn't all that interesting. lol

But I am going to my first Flyers "game" tomorrow night and then Irish Festival down in Wildwood so this week should be fun.

Ben Eager is my favorite player but I also like Gagne, Carter and Richards to name a few.

Anyhoo.. just thought I'd say hi.

Worse is people who think Flyers/Devils/Rangers fans are all the same. At my last job the new lady taking my place told me I would get along well with her son and his girlfriend. She said "They don't like the Flyers, they like the Rangers but that's like the same thing so you guys would get along great!"

I gasped and told her never to say anything like that again.

LOL!

It's so weird, the North Jersey twilight zone...someone can be a Yanks/Rangers/Giants fan or a Mets/Devils/Jets fan. So many combos!

Um, hi, I'm Matt and i'm a 17 year old HS senior from Minnesota. My favorite sports are Hockey and Baseball. I like the Boston Red Sox and I dont really have any favorite players, I guess they all are. In Hockey, I like the Wild first, although the Flyers are a very close 2nd.

I have loved the Flyers ever since I was little. I can rember the Flyers beating the Bruins for the Cup. I don't like hockey, I love the Flyers. That goes for every Philly team. I never have benn to the Wacovia place, but have been to many games at the Spectrum and the Vet. hey all, im Marc from North Carolina...growing up in a football house i didnt get exposed much to hockey untill i started playing in 1991, when i met a kid from chicago who was a heck of a player. i quickly found my niche as a defenseman and modeled my game after my favorite player of all time Eric Desjardins, one of the most underrated d-men in the NHL. Once he was traded to philly, i have been a flyers fan ever since.

Welcome 37DESJARDINS37. As you can tell by my sig below I am a Desjardins fan too. I watched him with Montreal when they won the cup. When I heard he was coming to Philly I couldn't believe the Canadians would trade him. Your right when you say he is underrated.

Hello all! I've been lurking for a long time and enjoy all the good reading(excluding posts from fans of other teams.....why post here other than to start bullstuff). Anyhow I Can't wait for the Flyers to start spanking teams around again!
As a side note my inlaws live in North Jersey and think all the Jersey team are just perfect. I can't stand any of them! (Any team that's playing any Jersey team... and wins is my second favorite team...like now-Go Skins!

New to the board and new to PA, just moved here from Austin TX, although I am originally from Levittown. Cannot wait for the season to begin, should be a great year.

Please allow me to introduce myself. I am a rabid Flyers fan for nearly 40 years now. I have witnessed all the highs and all the lows over those years and have suffered many sleepless nights because of it, but I love my Flyers, always will. I live in Newfoundland, an island province of canada situated in the cold
north alantic ocean. Hockey is everyones passion around here, there is a small percentage of flyer fans, but mostly there are Toronto and Montreal fans. I hate the Montreal Canadiens more than any other team in any sport anywhere. Can't help it, I just love to hate 'em. I've been following this site for several months and have finally mamaged to log in. I've recently purchased my 1st computer so I'm fumbling my way thru' here. so please be patient with me.
I'm afraid I am technologically challenged, I am considered around here to be the Flyers number 1 fan and you can imagine the crap I have to take from Leafs and Habs fans when things go bad, like last year. but thier teams didn't make the playoffs either, so I kinda had the last laugh after all. I know we have a good team this year and we WILL be back in the playoffs. I can feel it in my bones. There's a lot of good young talant in the system, I hpe we don't
waste it. But I've got faith in homer. GO FLYERS !

I'm Vanessa. I love hockey and hve 3 favourite teams, the Flyers being one of them.

I've been lurking for this board for awhile, but I thought I'd sign up as a member.

Thanks for having me.

Long time lurker, first time poster. (OK, this is my second post.) Actually had a problem getting my account to work, but got that taken care of--and now I can post!

In brief: 22, female, Philly native, hockey fan (obviously). Favorite team is the Flyers, but also have a soft spot for the 'Canes, as it is the team of my favorite player of all time (Captain Brind'Amour).

All I can say is that I am real excited for this season, unfortunate injuries aside. I'm impressed with the moves the organization has made during off season, and look forward to seeing how this team will come together. I'll go on a limb and say yes, I think we are playoff bound this year!
