Do you think we'll get that season ticket holder package within the next two weeks? I'm a newbie this year and the anticipation of receiving anything in the mail from the Flyers is just overwhelming right now LOL.
You're right about that $50 credit; I'll have to use that up for the home opener - if you can use that at the bars, I'm sure I can take care of that by the 2nd period, haha.
Correct me if I'm wrong; is this promotion allowing STHs to have $50 on their account that once they spend is all unless they throw more money on it or will it work like a credit card where you can keep charging things on your tickets and you get billed for it later? If the latter is the case, they'll definitely have to fix some glitches. On the other hand, if you get $50 on the house and decide to sell some tickets to friends or whoever, you can just use up that first $50 in the first game or two before you get rid of any tickets.
The way I understand it, the ticket thing is almost like a pre-paid card, except you are using a bar code on your ticket. The $50 is an up-front thing from the Flyers. Should you at any time wish to add money to your account, you just made a deposit (somewhere - maybe customer service) and that money is on your account for future use. The ticket bar code thing is only pre-paid, not a buy it now, pay later deal.
But if you are interested in a buy it now, pay later deal, the Flyers have their own credit card, called a Gratis card. It is accepted at all places in the arena, from concessions to clothing. It is a little different then a credit card. When you make your purchase, you hand over your card to the sales person. On the back of the card, there is a bar code. The sales person scans the bar code, and instead of signing, you enter your pre-established 4-digit PIN number. The card is secure, as your name is not listed anywhere on the card, and your account number is printed very small on the back of the card. I use this card for everything, tickets, concessions, and clothing. Interest rate is a little high compared to credit card, but should not be a problem if you plan on paying the balance every month.
