Since the subsection hasn't been created, i thought i kick off a thread.

The 5 Flyers on the ballot is:

-Mike Richards

-Marty Biron


In all honesty, i feel that either Marty Biron or Briere should be taken off and Jeff Carter added, IMO. He deserves it. Hopefully he will earned to be written in.

Maybe there should be a write in campaign for Carter this year, similar to Richards' last year.

I never want my goalies to go to the all-star game. Nothing good comes out of it and you could end up with a injury or a damaged psyche (especially someone like Biron)

When I first started reading the list of players, I was for sure I was gonna come across Carter's name, but never did; which shocked me! He definitely deserves to be on the All-Star team!

I'm with whoever said lets start voting him in, like we did with Richards last year!

These lists are made up in advance, and are not really reflections of how a player is doing in the beginning of the season which is why Carter is on there. It is one big popularity contest and they choose the biggest names they can, as well as players who do good in the playoffs the year before. All you have to do is look at the ballot last season where they had Dan Boyle on it even though he had only played one period of hockey at the time.

On another note, I expect to see three Pens at the all star game: Crosby, Malkin, and Fleury.

Crosby and Malkin is a MUST or else Buttman will have a stroke. I'm seriously praying for another injury from both of them.

Now Fleury might go depending how rabit the Bruin fans are going to be writing in Thomas. Lundqvist (for his merits) and Price (Habs fans will vote him like crazy) will def. go, so it's now between Fleury and Miller (and possibly Thomas)

With the Red Sox, Patriots, and Celtics all being better teams, I don't think there are many rabid Bruins fans around nowadays.

I don't think Price deserves to go yet. i may have changed my mind by the time the game rolls around, but right now, I'm thinking it should be Lundy, Fleury, and Thomas. Miller being the one guy who doesn't make it.

Me too! He's tied for "first favorite" with Parent & Downie. Though, I have to be honest, Parent was my very first favorite from the first time he played in the Pens series last year. (I've all ready stated in other places on the board, I watched just about all last year, but didn't pay CLOSE attention. What can I say I got distracted way too easily! ) However I love them all, so it's really hard to name only one of them as "first" & the other two as "second, & third," so I just tie them all for first.

To the creator of Vote For Richards.... start a Vote For Carter before someone from the East will start a Vote For (insert forward) page. We now have a Vote For Gooch, Vote For Thomas, Vote For Rivet.... etc!

I wouldn't exactly call one blog entry with seven comments rabid. Don't get me wrong, Thomas is an underrated goalie that deserves a fair shot at the All Star game but Red Sox fans are rabid. Patriots fans are rabid. The people in New England like the Bruins but they have three other stellar teams that they prioritize above them.

I'm happy for Briere and Marty B, but Carter undoubtedly deserves a spot (especially in Marty's place). Not only on the ballot, but on the team itself. I guarantee he'll be my write-in.

Get rid of Biron and add Carter.

Here's an update on voting....

For about 10 minutes, Richards was in the lead. However, the Habs block came back and now own the Top 3 spots. During the time Richards was in the lead, Gagne was in 2nd.

I notice there is a "Block" to not vote for Ovechkin (who is 10th right now), Malkin, Crosby, or Lecavalier. The top 9 are either from Montreal, Philly, or Boston (in that order).

Defensemen wise, it's Markov and Komisarek, with Timonen in 3rd.

Price is running away with the goalies, with Tim Thomas just pulled ahead of Biron.

As for the Rorys in each team.... Boston has Thomas, Montreal has Gorges (he's got a few votes so far), and possibly we can add Carter in!

Please vote... okay don't vote for Danny, but make sure we take a hold of the voting block!
