I'll be going. Tickets go on sale tomorrow through ticketmaster. Southwest Airlines has flights for 69 dollars each way. I'm sure there will be lots of Flyers fans at the game.
dayrecka

Just a quick question for cheap transport, is Southwest Airlines reliable?

If you're asking if they are a good airline, the answer is most definitely YES! They're the only airline (as of now anyway) that doesn't make you pay extra for more then 1 suitcase. The flight attendents are nice (or at least, the ones I incountered are, so I have to assume the rest are, also.) When I flew from Florida to Philly back in August the flight was enjoyable; there were some bumps due to a tropical storm that was in the area, but over all the flight was pretty good.

Hope that answers your question. smile.gif

I think they're very reliable. I have flown them a few times and had no problems. Like the poster above said, they are the only airline left that does not charge for all the extra stuff.

Will be at the game with the family, we live on the coast of NC and always try to get to Raleigh to see the Flyers. Section 118.

The best advice I can give you is to be certain to take advantage of their online check-in policy. They don't have assigned seating, which can be a good or a bad thing depending upon how full the flight is. The earlier you check in online, the lower your boarding number is. Because of their seating arrangements, you want to be among the first on the plane if you have any preference whatsoever about where you wish to sit.

Awesome, thanks for the advice guys. Much appreciated smile.gif

People can be a little wary now with budget airlines, but I heard they're a very profitable one, which is good. I will keep that online check in tip in handy because I like window seats, haha.

I don't think you really have to worry about any American airlines. Sure, there are some airlines known for being late more than others, but you should never run into any major problems that would be the airline's fault. The FCC has some pretty strict laws.

The FCC has some strict laws, but they have very little to do with airlines. I think you mean the NTSB or maybe the DHS?

Yeah I was thinking of the NTSB. The FCC is the media thing, I have no idea why I said that. laugh.gif

You're both thinking of the FAA (Federal Aviation Administration). The NTSB (National Transportation Safety Board) has no authority over such things. They investigate accidents and make recommendations.

On that note, Southwest Airlines has never had a crash involving loss of life.
