Guys that stat was misleading last night. The flyers spent a ton of time on the PK and most of the shots came from there PP. I myself was ****** last nite to, but at least we played with more heart last night. we did alot of things right just couldnt win.

i agree. way too many penalties taken last nite. some of them were bs, and at least they killed off that 2 minute 5-3. i think the flyers have played well all season, just not for a ful 60 minutes. last nite was their best game but they just took way too many penalties. i'll be there on wednesday night to witness their first win of the season!

I'm not a conspiracy theorist but the officiating seemed pretty one-sided last night. There was one conspicuous call against San Jose but, otherwise, they got a way with a lot.

Agreed. 4 PPG's allowed is unacceptable.

To be fair to the Flyers there's not much you can do against one-sided referee'ing. They had 7 PP's to our 2. That is DISGUSTING. I think of at least 2 or 3 calls off the top of my head at the end of that 3rd period that needed to be penalties, and we just did not get the calls.
Then again, this team has NEVER gotten help from the refs before, so why would they start now?

Dont like to focus on the refs either, but yesterday, could not avoid it. Def the most one-sided judging I have seen this year

Almost 50 shots on goal. Ridiculous. Goalies aren't the dam* problem.
The defense, unseen offensive players, and the coaching staff are the problems

The Flyers have been getting outshot in the majority of their games for Stevens entire tenure here. It's a system issue. This team does not play any team defense.
Although they do spend too much time on the PK which is another issue that has been ongoing during Stevens' entire tenure here.

Maybe the Flyers figured they would go back to last seasons playoffs and allow a ton of shots and watch Biron make the saves.
OR THE SYSTEM IS BROKEN AND THEY NEED A CHANGE!!!
I'm not an expert but

Our D played pretty bad, but we did get screwed over on some of the penalties last night. I mean how many PPs did Colorado have on Thursday night? I think Colorado and San Jose payed the refs off or the refs severely want the Flyers to lose.

The Flyers can't give a team like the Sharks that many chances. I like that Briere finally seems to be settling in.

You are exactly right. Like i said in another thread, the sharks were crossing our blueline like it was the US-Mexico border. There is no way in **** we should be scoring 4 goals and losing. Our transition game is garbage, the line changes during the game are f'n terrible, and our shots against is criminal (regardless of what "skewed them").
We need an entire game plan change regarding transition play. This is even more ridiculous because of the number of above average 2 way players we have. Was RJ really that good? Where is Mike Keenan when you need him.
