When will the team get its first win?

Thursday

If they play Nitty on Thursday I would say they get their first win.

If they go back to Biron, I don't think we get our first win until we play the Sharks at home.

I see Lupul as the "it" factor. If he can start scoring then we might get going. Because right now the scoring is not balanced enough.

They'll own the 'lanche. No biggie.

I picked ATL just to be safe.

If the Flyers can't beat the Avs they aren't a very good team.

What, Apr 12, 2009 isn't an option? If people think it's going to take two more weeks to get a win, why not go all the way to the end of the year? I predict we'll beat the Rangers in the last game of the season. It'll be our first win and their first loss.

...Or we'll win on Thursday. One or the other.

I just realized how brutal that schedule is. The way they're playing now, they'll be lucky to win three games in October.

Hahaha. Knowing our luck, the team will suck all year. Then, we'll rationalize it by saying "At least we'll get Tavares." Then, we'll end up not getting the first overall pick again.

We need to beat the Avs on Thursday BADLY. Its not a difficult concept. We're not playing bad hockey, we just cannot finish out these games at all.

Need to get special teams going too.

Unfortunately, we're not Pittsburgh.

The Avalanche don't have a competent goalie. Therefore, that is where the win will come.

Colorado. The Devils games are the ones that worry me.

Colorado doesn´t seem to be a very good team this year. But if I´m not mistaken, the Flyers use to have some problems with them the few times they meet. Tight games. San Jose, on the other hand, is a real challenge. Better get that win against the Avalanche...

If we play against the Avs like we did last night, then tomorrow night is my answer.

I'm not to worried about there 1st win, It will come. They seem a little rusty but who cares. They appear to be a playoff team only better than last year

the way they played last night even though they only got one point was a win in my book .. if they play that way every game they have a great season ahead of them and so do the fans ...

Now we have to go into COL, and beat a team as bad as us. IDK, theyre looking for their first win also, could be tough.

The top teams should always beat the poor teams........the Flyers cannot make a habit of playing down to the levels of teams that they should beat. You saw the importance of every point down the stretch last year. Thursday's game against the Avs is a must win for this team's confidence.

They will beat Colorado and will do so easily. I predict a 6-2 win.

Anyway, tomorrow we get the W. I'm not really worried so far...I just think there are certain players that needed time to get going. A few, like Carter, Lupul, and Knuble in my opinion, seemed like they had the attitude in the first 2 games espescially, that they could just go out and not even try, and that things would happen. Sort of like just picking up where they left off. As for our PP, I don't really have answers for that. I haven't lost any confidence in what the team can achieve.

I'm kinda torn though. Like 40yrfan said, we got a point and we could beat a lot of teams playing like that, but like the Rifle27 said, we're good too, we should be able to win these games. We made it to the ECF, we're not the underdogs anymore. It's not like last year where most people weren't expecting much. This year we are supposed to be winning these games.

I don't think its feasible that we won't win till the end of October. The thing is, the Flyers haven't been playing bad at all. We have been play very well. The only negative things I have to say about the Flyers is the goalie situation (who is number 1), and the power play. Other then that, this team could win the rest of October.

I'll probably hear it for this but IMO Richards seems to be trying too hard at times and playing sloppy because of it. That aside i would have to agree that some guys need to step it up(or knock the rust off!) but there's no need to raise the white flag.......... yet.

I want to say tomorrow so bad, but here's my dilemma. I have been to 3 Flyers games in my life. One in Tampa, one at Wachovia, and one here at Pepsi Center. The Flyers record when I'm in attendance: 0-3. Tomorrow will be my 4th game in attendance. I hope they finally get a win with me there, cause I'll be out of country Jan 09-May 10 and won't be able to make any more games till the 10-11 season.

Well....if we can't beat Colorado it's going to be a long season in Philly. We're off to our worst start since 1995.

I think we'll lose every game this season and then lose the lottery and somehow end up with the 30th pick in the first round.

Last time I checked, it was an 82 game schedule and not 3. C'mon.
