Even if you're a flyer fan I think you'll find the reaction from these fans hilarious. They just wanna punch Big Georges in the face.

I remember seeing that after the loss.

The funniest part is when Malkin says in a bad english : How does it feel baby? LOL

Next time hopefully it'll be our players doing this to Pittsburgh fans..

What am I saying...our players have class!

laugh.gif Come on it was in good spirit. Goerges is a very classy guy. I recall a story of when Pittsburgh was in Calgary and there was a kid at Stollery Childrens hospital in edmonton whos dying wish was to see Georges Laraque(true story seriously). He drove all the way there before the game and drove all the way back. Very Classy. I can't find it on the web though.

LETSGORANGERS
Haha that's classic.

it's friggin hilarious how they're like clawing helplessly at the glass while boiling with rage. hahahahahaha. that's fantastic.

...god i hate Pittsburgh

Laraque is a pretty classy guy even though at times he does get a little carried away. But until I saw that little puss Ruutu do it...
ericmedc
Both Laraque and Brash are classy guys everywhere but on the ice.

George is a very classy guy on and off the ice. He rarely turns down fights and he treats his opponents with respect.

but that scrub Downie deserved it, just a little taste of his own medicine.

When was the last time Hollweg severely concussed another player with an incredibly illegal hit, knocked out his own teammate's teeth with a crosscheck or sucker punched Jason Blake (the smallest guy on the Leafs roster)?

My favorite part of Kovalevs game is that he likes to throw the elbows. I notice that post lockout the refs aren't looking for it anymore. I would be surprised if in the 3 seasons since the lockout there have been 5 elbowing calls.

Hollweg has boarded so many players it's not even funny. Downie had a problem in the beginning of the season and that was it. From then on he was ok. So Jason Blake got punched. He did say Downie didn't belong in the NHL, all did Downie did was get him for it.

Clean hit? I don't think so:

You cannot judge a hit just by looking at a photo. Downie has been a dirty player ever since junior, he will be just another Chris Simon who continually does stupid and reckless actions.

Hollweg is dirty too, you can't deny that. Downie is just young, give him a break. Why are you even defending Hollweg he isn't on the Rags anymore, and plus when he was he sucked anyway.

Look at the Second one, he is leaving his feet, hand/stick in the players face, other hand throwing a shot in the players stomach.

I'm glad he's gone..he was a waste of space on the Pens team! angry.gif

He was a 4th line player but he knew his role... you can say he sucked but his only two goals of the season came in the same game against the Flyers wink.gif.

I can pretty much guarantee that the fans were the ones taunting the players in the first place.

Also, I previously mentioned that there are clear shots of fans giving them the finger.

and, They chant "Crosby sucks" all the time.

and, They booed Sykora after getting up from being hurt after a Downie cheap shot.

So, I think that we can conclude that the fans were being a horses a$$, therefore you may laugh if you'd like.

i never said i didnt believe the fingers, all i said was that i have seen fans from all over the league giving players fingers, were not the first or last to do it

so, no one booed downie when laraque made the cheap shot on him when he hit head first on the boards, it was a game in philly i know, i was there, i doubt no one booed downie for that

Holy irrelevance, Batman!

Of course they didn't boo their own guy. That has nothing to do with anything.

You said that you might laugh if the fans were being a horses a$$. I gave examples of this from the game that clip came from.

You may chuckle now.

Talk to Jimmy Rollins, Danny Briere, and Ryan Howard about that, and those are just the recent ones.

what i meant was no pens fans booed downie, not us, why would we boo downie
im sure there were plenty of pens fans booing downie after he was hit, and im sure plenty of them said it was a dive or he milked it

No. It was for not producing "good" numbers. They didn't meet the requirements of the fans.

I was at the Flyers vs. San Jose game when they started booing Briere for the first time. They booed him every time he touched the puck. It was disgraceful and lame of the fans.

I do not support booing our players or our team no matter the circumstances.

The same thing happened in Pittsburgh with Gonchar during his first season with the Pens. It made me want to vomit.

Ironically, he ended up with his 2nd highest career point production at the time that year. Go figure.
Flyers1848
Fans have the right to boo their own players, are you just supposed to sit there and clap when they are clearly underachieving? If I were a player it would be motivation for me, it's like they are saying, we know you can do better and we expect you too. But sometimes fans get out of control when they start cursing and flipping out, but thats usually when the alcohol is kicking in biggrin.gif

i never understood why people bood briere, i usually get out of hand and start yelling at people to shut up when i hear it, i have aseason tickets in 211 and that shats not taken too likely in 211.

Players get paid big bucks, if there playing like crap over and over then I will boo them so I don't care!
