Just got back from the Cote Carnival, and it was THE BEST Flyers event ever. I always complain about flyers events(i.e. Carnival and Flyers night at the Phillies) but this was the best event ever!!!!!. Your $50 ticket got you free food and alcohol. Riley Cote(the best Flyer on the roster in terms of hospitality) was the most gracious host ever. He shook everyones hand, treated them like a person, talked to me and my wife like we were buddies, thanked us for coming and was just the COOLEST dude in the room. Jeff Carter was cool as well. Danny Briere was cool for showing up , but he left after the autographs. Coburn, Guenin, Downie(my boy) all hung out for the duration, meetin and grettin and picture taking. Umby came late and looked depressed that he got traded. Dave Schultz is an a$$. He treat people like an inconvience. Coats showed up, Stevens was there Jim Jackson holla, and Bundy. The silent auction was great. For $5 you got everyones autograph, just the best event ever. Riley Cote is my new favorite Flyer!!!!!!!!!!

when i met briere in the bahamas he was the nicest guy... he spole to me and my dad for a good 15 minutes about everything from the difference of philly to buffalo to how much of a b*tch crosby is. Like you said with cote he spoke to us like we were buddies and not some inconvienient fan..... I kinda felt bad afterwards because after everyone was seeing us get a pic with him there was alot of people gathering because they knew it was someone famous but none of the morons knew who

We went back to get Umbys auto and said "come back in four years" he said, that would be great, I hope so. I got a pic with him and an auto. Got all my pics I made up signed. Meet everyone, even Lady Neat, very nice person. excellent time. I even won a signed Carter stick and Niitty puck as a door prize. The wife won some other prizes in the silent auction. It was a helllava time. Well worth it.

It's events like these that make the fans and team the best in Philly. Poop on the Phils, Eagles, and Sixers, no other team is as open with their fan base and in the other sports the guys just aren't as nice. Plain and simple. Great job today everyone.

I' don't wanna go into too much detail, but it was A LOT of fun. I got to meet some people on here which was good times and as others have said Riley was amazing. We were talking before the event started and he was actually a bit nervous of how things would go. He was truly happy that everyone showed up and wanted to make sure they were all having a good time. All the players were cool and they didn't really shy away from conversations.

Hopefully, as this event grows a bit they keep the same mindset. As Flyboy mentioned, none of them felt like this was an obligation and everyone was so approachable that you almost felt like you didn't have to go to them. I feel a lot of people are going to have stories about the personal conversations they had with the players.

Most importantly, the MSAA people were pleased with the event and we all came out to support the cause

They indicated this would be annual, Riley did just sign for three years so I think we'll see 3 more. I became a big Cote fan today for sure. That guy is cooler than me.
