Hey Mods we need one

i would agree.although i am not an STH, it would be a nice idea.
Plus, it could be a way for fans to maybe buy tickets offered by holders in instances when they cant use them,
like i will be in November.

My other seat went unused a lot last season and I have the $24.25 seats.

What section? game plan or full season.

What section? game plan or full season.

In the past I've had a game plan in the 04 season when we had that awesome playoff run. Back then it was as small as 5 game plans as opposed to the bigger 11 game plan they have now. I also bought playoff strips that year for the same seats (halfway through the playoffs) for Section 205 Row 10 (behind the net where the Flyers shoot twice).

Should they be available I'm in store for full season tickets this year. Although the Flyers are coming off such a horrible year, I expect that the seats would be in the mezzanine upstairs. I have yet to select the seats - I'm guessing that I will do that some time in July as I have to wait for current season ticket holders to renew their seats and relocate them if they want.

Last year (since I was still in college) I bought 8 games off of a season ticket holder who I randomnly met at a game. They were in section 107 Row 16 (directly behind the Flyers net where they shoot twice) and straight down from Finnigans Wake.

How about you? Are you a game plan holder or a full STH? What section do you have?

I am a full season ticket holder in Section 220 since 2002. I actually started sitting in 220 with someone I knew from a Flyers newsgroup in 2000. I only missed like 7 games the last 3 seasons. Last year was really rough because I ate my other seat for several games. It was hard to move even the $24.25 seat. By any chance was the person you bought tickets from in 107 named Billy?

Well - it could be? His name is actually William but he goes by "Bill". He's a lawyer from Easton, PA. For 2 or 3 of the games I went to, his extra two seats in that section went unused I guess since they couldn't make it. That made me sick because I paid for all of the tickets and I would bring a family member with to the game with me using the extra ticket I bought from him. I have about 4 other family members and a dozen friends that I could've easily brought with me for the extra unused seats since they are all crazy about the Flyers.

If you ever have the problem of not being able to get rid of a ticket on the day of the game you should post something about it here because even if you were to sell it for half price to someone on here you would REALLY make someone's day and you could at least get something out of the deal - maybe even enough for your food/drink that night.

Just curious about your seats. Do you plan on remaining in the 200 level? Did you ever go to the select-a-seat event and if you did, what was the inventory like downstairs and upstairs? I really have no idea of what to expect when I go down to Wachovia Center and I want to have a few ideas of what sections I would be interested in as back up plans. Sitting upstairs has its advantages - you get a much better view of the game from an overheard perspective and can see the play developing.

Thanks for your response in advance!

They guy I know in 107 named Billy is not a lawyer. I wanted this thead pinned, so I can get rid of a ticket when I may have an exrtra and hopefully this forum grows enough to get a lot more STH being able to post about tickets. I an going to be staying where I am because of the cost is just $1848 for 2 seats. If I moved down 2 rows the price jumps to over $3000. I also sit up stairs for Eagles games. I like it for the points you made out about the play developing.

Haha - Isn't it amazing how one or two rows lower in the mezzanine could tack on an extra grand?

That's ashame. It sounds like previous season ticket holders from all over Wachovia Center aren't planning on renewing. Definitely the majority will renew but it sounds like this year many aren't renewing.

As sad as it is, it's good news for people like me. It'll be my first year so maybe that will leave a better selection of seats for me? Time will tell.

When was the deadline for current season ticket holders to renew?

It's June 14th or 18th. You can pay in full, 2 months, or over 7 months. I elected to pay in full to just get it over with. laugh.gif

I was looking at the Board Rules and #4 says Do not post spam on this board. Any unnecessary material or advertising (including scalping tickets) of any kind may result in banning. I know I heard before this board went up, they were talking about STH could use this outlet to sell the tickets they would not be able to use during the upcoming 07-08 season. You would also have to follow the state laws of course. I know if you live in Pennsylvania, you can not charge more than 25% of face value or $5. I wouldn't be interested in making money, I just want what I paid for the tickets.

Wow - the first week?? Ok, now I'm REALLY excited! LOL. I'm so excited to get them since this will be my first year as a full season ticket holder : )

This year each ticket will feature a different picture of crazy flyers fans who sent them in a few weeks ago. Can't wait to get them; only about a month until that time!

I understand your excitement, I feel the same way. This is also my first year getting season tickets.

Yeah, I can not see it being any later then the first week, cause they have to account for shipping time and have them to people before pre-season games start.

I've been going to approx 10-15 games/ season for the last 8 yrs. I finally purchased my own season tix in Sec 119 Row 11. When I went to " select a seat night" I didn't think lower level seats were available. I was so surprised that I grabbed them as soon as I saw them! Now I need to sell half of them lol..my work schedule doesn't agree w/ Flyers schedule.

You'll be fine doing that...considering they aren't AS bad as last year. Lower Level seats in the 11th row will be able to bring in at least what you paid for them because after season ticket sales and 11 game plans, there will be few tickets available for single games and comcast tix. Just don't try to sell them for *too* much and you'll be fine with getting rid of them.

Does anyone have any info on the Season Ticket holder events that may happen this year, like Meet the Flyers? Do they cost additional money, or does being a season ticket holder cover these events? Since we have so many new members this year, maybe one of the elder ticket holders can inform us?

Thanks
PokerDonkey27
Did anyone that went to "Select-A-Seat" get the option to purchase the "reserved parking" at that time? I did mine over the phone and my rep said nothing about it. I don't know if I am up for paying how ever many more dollars then the $10 general parking, but was curious if others got the option.
For those who have done it in the past, is it worth it for the additional cost?

Not sure about what is up for the future but they already had an awesome event for newbies like myself at Wachovia Center a few weeks ago. Free Beer/wine/drinks, food, free Flyers pilsner glasses given to each new STH, meet the new guys (got autographs from Briere, Smith, Hartnell, and a few others), giveaways, etc. It was a great event. Hopefully there is more to come in the future. Usually they have an open practice at Wachovia Center I think but I'm not sure what else. There are so many STHs so I guess it is hard to schedule events since there are so many people.

Who knows? We'll see...

I am interested in selling half my season. Any suggestions as to how to go about that. I am in section 109 where flyers shoot twice and row 19 seats 3,4. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

The reserved parking is $13 and it is well worth it! When there are other events going on at or during a Flyers game, you are always guarenteed a spot in the reserved parking lots. The only problem with getting into my reserved parking lot is all the novice non-reserved parking fans creating a traffic jam in front of the entrance for the reserved parking. When it gets really cold outside, you can leave your coat in the car because you are a short walking distance from the Wachovia Center. Here you don't have to carry around a big winter coat or take up room at your seat. That is if you are not in the club box or the suites because they have a place for coats and jackets. You also can get out of the parking lot faster too. I stay for the whole game and get to my car with a quickness. It gives you the head start! I beat the traffic all the time!

Season ticket holders whom are interested in selling off their tickets should use the Flyers Market Place feature on the teams home page. Here's a link to help you out. Flyers Market Place

It is nice to sell through the Flyers, if you make a sale you don't have to do anything, the Flyers mail the buyer the tickets and you can just destroy your tickets for that game. The only issue I see is the mininum you can sell them for is the face value of the tickets if they were purchased day of game, so you may have trouble selling some of the games.

Tickets should be coming this week.

I'm splitting ST with somebody this year. I'm new to this, so are the preseason games included or are they purchased seperately?

Thanks

Preseason tix are part of the full season ticket holder expereince. I don't think they'd be able to sell any otherwise (except for the Spectrum game)

Spectrum can not hold as many people as the Wachovia Center. The lower level is smaller then the lower level at Wachovia Center, so therefore, some people are up in the second level. Also, if someone is a current season ticket holder that was also a season ticket holder back in the Spectrum, the Flyers tried to get those people in the same seats they had or close to it.

Could be worse, I am in the 400's.

OK, so they deleted my post. I was simply trying to connect with any season ticket holders that might be having trouble keeping their seats. That happened to me and I lost mine because I could not find anyone else to split the cost of a full season. Like it or not, purchasing full season is expensive and I could not do it without knowing I had a partner or two willing to divide the cost. I would think the Flyers would want as many season ticket holders as possible, but how are we supposed to connect with anyone who wants to do this? Don't tell me to use the ticket marketplace because I am not interested in individual games. And I do not want 11 game second level packages. I want to find anothere season ticket holder with whom I can discuss this. I am not looking to use th9is board to buy or sell tickets.

If anyone is interested in this, please reply to this message and maybe we can work something out. If this mesage does not get deleted....
