Hey...if you attend those WSH games, could you do me a favor? Could you pimp-slap that annoying SOB with the horn? Thanks!
slitz
tried to get tickets for the game in chicago. logged on before the sale and kept hitting refresh, was in the system within the first minute of the sale and it was "sold out". kept trying for about an hour and finally SROs became available. i ended up buying a pair off ebay for slightly below face value

We have a group of around 10 guys that have been going to an away game for the past couple of years. This year we are going to Boston on February 7th. Also 3 or 4 of us are going to Washington on Feb 24th. Should be fun.

Yeah we usually have fun on our trips. We even had fun last year in Pittsburgh even though we lost. We also have a party, every year, on the morning that individual game tickets go on sale. We get together have a few and order our tickets. The entire thing has become kind of a ritiual with our group.
Baxter27
I'll probably make it to atleast 1 buffalo or Toronto game vs the Flyers
specterlaw
I will be taking my 3 year old to his first game in San Jose. I may also go to L.A. and Anaheim in January.

I'll be at the following games with my dad, (we're going all out this year)

Oct 16 - Colorado
Oct 18 - San Jose
Dec 26 - Chicago
Dec 27 - Columbus
Dec 30 - Vancouver
Jan 2 - Anaheim
Jan 3 - Los Angles
Mar 1 - Boston
Mar 3 - New Jersey

and i'm sure we'll be at other rangers/devils/Islanders games.

Anyone going to any of them ^
anyone going to some other ones?

I'm sure I'll be at the Jersey game. $15 day of game tickets can't be beat. Waiting in Newark sucks though...
Flyershooligan
i recently started some plans with a group of friends to go to a caps game, and probably a devils or islanders game.

we went to a rangers game last year

With all of your experience going on the road, which arenas do you see the most Flyers fan in and which gives the best atmosphere?

I haven't been to many (just Buffalo, NJ, Rangers, Islanders), but I would be willing to bet both from experience and watching on T.V. that the away games you'll see most Flyers fans at would be Washington and NJ. But you'll also see plenty in NY, Boston, Buffalo, Pittsburgh, Carolina, Atlanta, Florida, Boston, etc. There's Flyers fans everywhere, and we travel pretty well, so you're bound to see some everywhere.
slitz
most fans i saw were DC and NYI

I was there once (I was 4 rows up from the ice in the playoffs 3 years ago) so I didn't get a great feel for the whole arena, but from what I saw, it was decent. I have no idea what sight-lines are like from the upper deck. It has a nice concourse area and parking is relatively easy. There should be a good amount of Flyers fans there and the Buffalo fans aren't too much of a problem, because they're used to it.

Don't remember if anyone was comin to the 16 October game in Denver, but you can get lower level tickets pretty cheap. When buying the tickets, click on ticket packs or "KYGO puck pack". I'm gonna be in section 120 (goal line seats, 8th row from the glass, Flyers whoot twice). The tickets in the pack are about $55 each after ticketmaster fees and you get a free Pepsi. The catch is you have to buy the tickets in multiples of 2 and no more than 8. Hope to see as many Flyers fans at the game as I did last year.

We usually head up a few hours before the game and have a couple beers before going in, I'll keep an eye out for the friendly jerseys!

** Post Game Update**
Got to Montreal Friday around 12:30 p.m. checked in
left to find Bell Center and walked around to a few different pubs.
around 6 p.m. at a place called "Grumpy's" I was surprised to see someone else walk in(5 people inside including my girlfriend and I).
** jaw dropping** Chris Therien ex Flyer, radio announcer extraordinaire sits two stools down.
After a few mins I get the oppurtunity to say "Hey." (busy making plans with Coatsey on the phone.)
I tell him we drove from South Jersey for the game and he replies" That's really cool, I hope you guys have fun and get to see a win."
We chatted for a bit and he say's "I can't promise but if you guys give me your names I'll see if they will let you in to the morning skate."
I scribbled names on a bar napkin and handed it over. He left to meet up with the guys and we were psyched.
next morning we get up and goto the Bell Center to see if we can get in. Laughing, the security guy says "Yeah he left your names," and hands us the same napkin back.
"Hold on and I'll get you passes."
Needless to say practice was AWESOME front row. After practice we get to see the guys coming out of the locker room to the bus. Great Pics, Great time and we still get to go to the game!
Game was great Flyers 2 Habs 1.

Thank you to a real class guy for rewarding two loyal fans with the experience of a life time. Its nice to have met such a cool guy, have a few beers and talk hockey! There is no other professional sport where I think this would happen. Class act all the way!!
GO FLYERS!!!!
