Going to the Dec 6th game in Raleigh NC, that one is for sure. Look for me, I will be sitting about 7 rows back behind the Flyers bench.....in full Flyers gear ;-)
I may also try for the Feb game in Atlanta.
I'll be at this game as well. We're flying from Philly to Raleigh that morning and staying over. Should be a great time.

It's a nice venue...we usually get really decent seats in the lower level; I've never sat more than a few rows behind the glass and have never sat in the upper levels at Verizon. I think the pens-caps game would be a decent game to catch (other than philly). Capitals fans are difinitely not my favorite fans to watch the game with...most are not very knowledgeable about hockey and that can be a bit irritating. However, I'm pretty sure they don't like Crosby and co., they should be pretty pumped, loud and obnoxious...plus you'll get to see Brashear

Caps fans are okay, but they get pretty quiet if they are not winning, so hopefully they will have reason to cheer.
If I was in DC and staying close by, I would definitely try to get some tickets just to see Ovechkin go after Malkin and/or Crosby a few times, but I can always catch it on the tele. Let me know if you need more specific info about Verizon...
Edited to include: I have to agree with DC games having a great Flyers fan turnout...
Disclaimer: my comments are my opinions and mean no offense to any caps fans, just my experience at the verizon center

I thought the Pens and Caps would be a good one to watch! I have tickets to see the Caps in Philly, but the only ones available for the Pens game are the $50 + additional fees.

I think I read that Dancin' Shawnie was trying to make this one too! Sounds like there could be a good pre game in the making!! dont worry about contacting the R bar people. go to hfboards.com. there is a subforum for the blue jackets (there is one for every team). in the blue jackets subforum there is a thread for "visiting columbus". the owner of the R bar is constantly unpdating the progress. I guess it would be easier if I just posted the link huh?

As soon as I know where I will post a gathering point for pre-game beers. If you can't make pre-game I think we should gather on the concourse at section 120 before the game! (safety in numbers! Goin to the Garden on March 15th - Sunday afternoon Game on NBC
This will be incredible - my first visit to MSG.
Not to mention - the Flyers play the Rags at HOME the day before (Sat afternoon at 1) making it the second part of a home and home.
I was at Verizon Center a few years ago and that was 'blah'. Simply boring. I just got my authentic Richards orange retro jersey and can't wait to wear it in the big apple. The Flyers Fan Club is also going to this game so I'm sure there will be a lot of orange in the crowd.

I'm glad I stumbled across this thread, as I have been wanting to make my own for a bus trip I am hosting, but I don't have enough posts to make threads yet. Here's the details on the trip, and I would love for some of you guys to go.
March 28th, 2009
Bus trip to Nassau Coliseum
Philadelphia Flyers @ New York Islanders
Cost Per Person - $55
The cost includes your seat on the bus up and back, your ticket for the game (on the side the Flyers shoot twice), your tip for the driver and your contribution to parking. In other words, it covers everything you will need. Food and drinks (including alcohol) are permitted on the bus but are not included.
The bus is a 56 seat charter bus. It is climate-controlled with reclining bucket seats, high-definition TVs showing Flyers DVDs and a bathroom.
Bus will depart NE Philadelphia at 3:30 PM. Game starts at 7 PM. You can expect to be back in Philadelphia around midnight.
The tickets are in section 338 and 339. If you would like to go on the trip but want nicer seats, I would be able to upgrade you. Alternatively, if you were planning on going to this game and want me to get you tickets anywhere in the arena at the group discount (which is pretty hefty) I can do that as well.
I just want to fill up the Coliseum with as much Orange and Black that I possibly can that day.

What is the bar called? I went to a game at the United Center before but it was before I was 21 so I was probably not searching out spots to check out. I do plan on returning there for a game next year and I would like to see what it's like then.
There was a pretty cool hockey bar right near the Joe Louis Arena when I went out there to see the Flyers battle the Red Wings. It was either called "The Post" or "The Hockey Post." I can't remember.

Anyone interested in going to the Capitals game on the 6th? There's a block of 10 tickets on StubHub for $37 each, or they go as low as $25 each for smaller quantities.
I'm looking to come back the same night.

Anyone going to be at the Anaheim or Kings game out here?
