Why is the Columbus game so popular? Generally I try to avoid flying just for a game unless I am going there for something else, because I can go to so many in just a drive. I can make all NY area games, Boston, Buffalo, Pittsburgh, and Washington by driving. I'll definitely go to the Garden once or twice, a few at the Rock, and then I would like to go to Pittsburgh or Washington. I'll also probably make it up to Buffalo as my sister lives just outside of Buffalo. Possibly Boston as well...

Well my dad and I are about as passionate as they come and we'll do anything to go see the flyers. But for the LA and Anaheim game one of our old neighbors moved out there last year so were going to visit him to and he's going to go to the games with us (being a flyers fan himself)

I believe it's a weekend game and well isn't Columbus a college town, so a party after the game.

Don't get me wrong, I am passionate, but I don't have the money right now just to be flying across the country to see them. Granted, I'm not living on the streets, but I prefer to keep it within driving distance. I was more curious why Columbus of all places, but hey, it could be a cool city.

If I were to fly to a game, and I've thought about it, I'd definitely go to either Toronto or Montreal. Columbus might be a cool city as I said but it probably isn't a great hockey city and I've always wanted to see a game in Canada. One of those two could be a possibility for me...

Natrually, Toronto and\or Montreal is the place to go. I've been there, but Columbus will be a heck of a lot cheaper to get to and see a game for face value.

I have some friends near that area, but actually for the reason you said. I've been to the drivable places. I had actually planned to go to Columbus a couple years back but I had to cancel it last minute.
I forgot about the games down in Tampa....my Dad has a friend down there so I might make them. But we'll see!

There's always a lot of empty seats there but they generally have bigger crowds (by their standards) for Flyers games because obviously it's a division game and there are always a good amount of Flyers fans filling the seats.
